Custom Home Builder · North Texas

Custom steel-framed homes, built for North Texas.

My Castle Homes designs and builds custom residences across North Texas on a red-iron structural steel frame — engineered as one system, not assembled from a kit.

Who This Is For

For landowners and homebuyers
who want more than a kit.

If you're picturing a pole barn, a pre-engineered steel building, or a barndominium, this isn't that. My Castle Homes designs and builds fully custom residences — architect-considered spaces, dual-tone cabinetry, quartz surfaces, Level 5 smooth walls — built on the same structural steel discipline used in commercial construction.

The steel is what carries the home. It isn't the style of the home.

Commercial-grade structure. A residence in every other way.

The Structure

Red-iron steel. Residential craft.

A red-iron structural steel frame with cold-formed steel stud wall construction carries the home — resisting the shrinking, twisting, and warping commonly associated with wood framing.

DensGlass exterior sheathing with continuous exterior insulation, Class 4 impact-rated roof shingles, and large high efficiency European style Casement windows complete the envelope. Roof and floor assemblies are secured to the structure with more than 26,000 wood-to-metal fasteners.

Built to a commercial standard. Finished like a home.

Features and specifications shown here illustrate the Premier Parkway Collection and may vary by home, site, design, and project scope.

The Process

From land to move-in, one connected build.

Structure, envelope, systems, precision, and finish are approached as parts of one build, not isolated decisions handled by different crews. See how we build it

Questions

The questions we hear most.

Is this the same as a steel building kit or barndominium?
No. Pre-engineered steel kits and barndominiums are typically agricultural or utility structures dressed up as homes. My Castle Homes uses a red-iron structural steel frame and cold-formed steel stud walls as the foundation for a fully custom, architect-considered residence — finished with the same materials you'd expect in any luxury home: quartz surfaces, Level 5 smooth walls, and curated cabinetry and fixtures.
Where does My Castle Homes build?
We build custom homes across North Texas and the greater Dallas-Fort Worth area, including on land you already own. Our completed Premier Parkway collection in Grand Prairie is one example of the finished result. View the listing Take the 3D tour
How much does it cost to build a custom steel home?
Steel-frame construction is priced competitively with traditional lumber-framed building — typically comparable, with a modest premium for the durability and precision of a red-iron structural frame. Actual cost still depends on your lot, design, and scope — the most accurate way to get a real figure is a conversation with our team about what you're picturing.
How long does it take to build?
Timelines vary with design complexity, permitting, and site conditions. Once we understand your project, we'll walk you through a realistic schedule before you commit to anything.
Do I need to already own land?
No. If you own a lot, we can build on it — see how that process works on our Build on Your Land page. If you don't yet have land, our completed and in-progress projects are a good place to start.
